I've just re-read my post and I'm not sure where you're getting the idea that I'm saying that my life has no value. Quite the opposite: I am, as you put it, “railing against the idea that people with disabilities lives are somehow” to be “valued less”. They *are* valued less by society in general, but that's not right and we all need to work to overcome that notion, regardless of our level of ability or religious leanings.
As for my personal struggle, I'm fighting against the internalized ablism that says that while it's okay for *other people* to be unable to contribute as much as their needs cost society, that it's not okay for me to be disabled in that way, too. That is, if the lives of people whose needs I've been advocating for for the past couple of years have value, then so ought mine.
