My friends keep asking me to blog
Friday, May 30th, 2014 08:39 pmEver since I created this blog, I've meant to return to it and post more things. Some of my friends keep asking me to start writing more in blog form — given that most of my best writing seems to be in the form of long comments on facebook threads, where hardly anyone will ever see what I have to say. I'd previously never considered this much of a loss, since those comments were usually tailored to the discussion at hand, and I didn't think they could stand on their own without substantial editing. But the more I learn about social justice, the suffering in the world, and even about myself, the more I feel like I do want to write.
So I'm putting this here in the hope that in the days to come, I will be able to find the words to express how I feel about what's going on in the world, particularly in disability rights activism and Autistic Pride, among other things that I've been involved with over the past year.
